Premier League Predictions, Week 4

Welcome back! Last week, I got off to a brilliant start, I must say, going 4-1. I expected more from Manchester United, but to be fair, I also got Arsenal 3-1 and Bournemouth/Everton 2-2 bang on. Thank you, thank you. I accept your praise.

Now, the matches are less than 12 hours away from starting, so let's not waste any time. Here are your 5 for Week 4!

Leicester City vs. Liverpool

Liverpool is yet to concede a goal this season, but they face their stiffest challenge yet, away at 2016 champions Leicester, on an early start. Good thing this isn't also coming off an international break, or it'd be a surefire loss! In all seriousness, I do think these Reds 2.0 are up to the task, but not before getting a scare from (and likely conceding for the first time) Jamie Vardy and co.

The Pick: Liverpool, 3-2

Chelsea vs. Bournemouth

A fairly uneven matchup, between the league co-leaders and the...5th placed team?? It's true, Bournemouth is off to a flying start with 7 points from 9, and the Cherries might be making a play to be this year's Burnley. But, to be fair, they also have faced nobody close to the quality Chelsea is. Expect a well-fought affair, with the blue eventually reigning.

The Pick: Chelsea, 2-0

Manchester City vs. Newcastle

Newcastle has had a nightmarish beginning to their 2nd season back up from the Championship, earning only 1 point to date. They competed toe-to-toe with Chelsea for most of the 90 minutes last week, but don't expect it to get any better for them this week. Their hosts are the defending champions, who are undoubtedly riled up, coming off a shock draw to Wolves. City rolls.

The Pick: Manchester City, 4-1

Watford vs. Tottenham

Ready for something crazy? This might be the last matchup this season in which both teams have won every single game. Indeed, both Tottenham and Watford sit at 9 points, and with the Hornets hosting, we could be in for a barnburner. I'm willing to ride with the underdog this time, and say they'll steal a couple points.

The Pick: Draw, 1-1

Burnley vs. Manchester United

The other Sunday morning match will be fascinating for the opposite reason as above: the dire straits both sides are in. Burnley are trying to recapture the magic they had last season, where they played spoiler to many a top club. Mourinho and co. are trying to avoid a total freefall, after following up their shock loss to Brighton with a capitulation at home to Tottenham. This one genuinely could go various ways, but I'll play it safe and say United get back on track, perhaps sloggingly so.

The Pick: Manchester United, 1-0
